Tips for Becoming a Professional Blogger

November 11th 2007 15:30
• If you don’t Blog but think some day you may want to get paid for blogging, then start a Blog immediately. Just like any other kind of writing work, you need experience, and unless you are Stephen King, you need blogging experience. Other writing work, even web site work, may not cut it. Potential employers want blog savvy bloggers. They don’t want to pay someone to learn the ropes. So, use one of the many free blog sites out there and set one up as soon as possible and start blogging now.
• Make sure you are an active member of the blogosphere. That means, blog regularly and well; link to other bloggers both in your blog roll and in your posts; and read other blogs in your field and leave comments.

• Be part of the web conversation. It’s great to write original content, but don’t write in a vacuum. When you write a post, try to find other people who are talking about what you’re talking about and link to them. Do your best to have a minimum of one relevant link in each post. Feel free to quote and provide sources for these quotes. Show that you are part of the conversation. Oh, and don’t steal other people’s content. Provide sources, just like if you were writing a term paper.
• Look for a niche rather than talk about everything in the whole wide world. To be an expert or at the very least someone who has something worth reading, you can’t cover everything. That leads to rambling and no one (not even your mom) is going to want to read that. Find a topic that you know a lot about already, and carve out your own niche in the blogosphere. Look for niche ideas in your every day life. What sort of magazines do you subscribe to? What kind of hobbies do you have? What kind of activities do you do on a regular basis? What is already happening in your life on an on-going basis that you could write up every day?

• Search engine rankings and page views don’t appear overnight. It’s a long haul up the Google ladder, so be patient. Unless you are already well ranked from other sites that you may write for, don’t expect to see yourself up at the top for six months to a year. Obviously, blog networks will find you much more attractive if you are already known by search engines and you have a good ranking. If you already have a web site (or two) link to yourself. Nothing like your own link love.
• Speaking of link love, what goes around comes around. Don’t become a link farm, but be a good link neighbor with link-minded blogs. This is not a competition. That’s one cool thing about blogging. You help other bloggers by linking to them, posting about something interesting you saw on their blog, adding them to your blog roll, and they’ll link to you. Like I said, though, don’t be a link farmer. Be choosey. If you really like someone else’s blog and it has any kind of connection to yours, then link.
• Pick a topic you l-o-v-e. You’ll hear a lot about passion from blog how-to-ers, but they are right. I’ve been there and done that. There’s only so much you can squeeze out of a topic if you don’t have a pretty big interest in it. Professional bloggers normally blog a minimal of once a day per blog. After doing this month after month, you can really get fried, especially if it’s a topic you are only “so-so” about.
• When pitching a new topic to a blog network, be as specific as possible. If you were pitching a book idea to a publisher, you wouldn’t email them and say, “I want to write about jewelry making. What do you think?” You’d write a book proposal, providing a thorough outline of what you propose. Same with a blogging network – you need specifics. They don’t know you or your work. Telling them you want to write a blog about “nutrition” tells them zip. At a bare minimum, give them the name of the proposed blog, a few sentences describing it, and 3 to 5 sample posts. A step above the minimum would be to start blogging about the topic; set it up on a freebie blogging site, and blog. Locate some available URLs to suggest to them. Then approach them with your current blog as a reference to your brilliant idea. Bottom line – they need something to gauge your idea by.
• To make any sort of decent income from blogging, expect to blog a lot. Very few professional bloggers only write one blog. One reason for this is because it’s really hard to make a living from one blog. Normally, you need the combined income from different blogs added together to make any kind of real money. Of course, there are exceptions to this but these are usually bloggers who have been blogging for years and have a huge audience. So, start with one paid blog gig, and then start adding on until you find your own balance. It can be a tough juggling act because (on average) you have to blog daily to keep it going.

The simple answer to the question is “No”. The reason for this response is also simple; until March of this year Pakistan has never tried the parliamentary system. Pakistan instead has tried to avoid parliamentary supremacy through almost every device known to political scientists. The so called vice regal system military authorization presidential supremacy and prime ministerial autocracy, with variants on some of these.
It is best to look at what a “parliamentary system” means and then to note how Pakistan has avoided its use in its governance. At root a parliamentary system includes the right of the people to select in free and fair election their representatives to a body what will be able to enact laws under a constitutional arrangement that enables those representatives to act in the interests of the people at the large as they perceive them. These representatives are to be selected for a set term after which they must face the electorate again in a free and fair election that will decide their retention in or their dismissal from office. The system also presumes that the representatives are to be elected for a set term after which they must face the electoral again in a free and fair election that will decide their retention in or their dismissal from office. The system also presumes that the representatives will come from roughly equally sized constituency. Weather a “first past the post” system is used, as is the case in Great Britain, the United States, and all three countries that have emerged from the British Indian Empire, or a proportional representation system us use or any variant or either a regular and accurate census is necessary. This too, Pakistan has avoided since 1981 although all indicators show a substantial shift from rural to urban areas.
It goes without saying that the actions of the parliament and especially of its members must be transparent. It and they are in the position of “ethics committee” by whatever name that is compose of members of all parties and that has the duty to inevitably undermine the standing of parliament among the people.
Finally a parliament system produces a cabinet that is charged with governing the country. It receives a vote of confidence from the parliament, usually the lower and directly elected house that gives it the authority to govern. On major decisions the agreement of the full cabinet can be expected, while on less important actions the decision may be made the minister in charge of the particular department concerned. This is not to say that the civil and military bureaucracies have no role to play, but their role should be limited to recommendation and implementation. The cabinet under the prime minister must take the lead in decision making for it is they alone who are responsible to the electorate.

Child Labor

November 2nd 2007 11:42
At least one child of every four in the developing world is tailing under conditions resembling slavery, according to the UN children fund. Although, child labor is commonly thought of as a problem of the developing world. However it is by no means a thing of the past in the rich countries. Child labor is so grave an abuse of human rights that the world must come to regard it n the way it does slavery- as something unjustifiable under any circumstances.
As estimated 250 million children aged 5-14 years are engaged in hazardous work, prostitution, and banned labor, according to the 1997 state of the world’s children report released in Geneva by UN on 4th December 1996. The 107 pages study report says that four of the most persistent myths that help perpetuate child labor throughout the world. On myth is that children work only in poor countries. In the united states one world’s richest countries, a high proportion or ethnic minority families. Majority of children work for their families or in agriculture or hidden away in houses, far from the reach lf law. Recent study in Bangladesh identified 300 such occupations ranging from brick making and stone breaking to street hawking and rig picking.
On 10th December 1996 Supreme Court of India has called for a fund to be set up to help free around 100 million child workers by the year of 2000. The court ordered for setting up of the fund with contribution of Rs. 25000 from every offending employer, to make India- child labor free the end of the century. India has the world’s largest force of young workers. The could also offered offenders to pay Rs 20,000 to each child workers as compensation and employ as adult from the child’s family. We have found hope that the closing years of the 20th century world see us keep the promise made to out children by our constitution half a century ago the 83 pages ruling said. The court ruling said “let the child of the 21st century find himself into thing heaven of freedom which our poet laureate Rabindranath Tagore has spoken of.”
The movement to regulate the child labor began in Great Britain at the close of the 18th century when the rapid development of the large scale manufacturing had resulted in the exploitation of very young children in mining and industrial work.
Experts in the ILO have assisted governments in drafting labor codes and labors containing basic provisions, in setting up labor inspections service and in training staffs. Regional conference have given special attention to the problem of young workers in agriculture coal mines chemical and glass industries and to elementary protective measures needed in Middle East, Asia and Latin America

Modern Civilization

November 2nd 2007 09:58
The true meaning of civilization has not become hundred percent clear despite many centuries of so called civilized life. Each nation or society calls it self civilized without exactly knowing the real connotation of civilization. Even back word nations have something to fall back upon they harp upon their glorious past and their heritage in case they can not boast of any positive achievements in the twentieth century. They credit them selves with spiritual metaphysical traits and are at pains to prove their superiority over advanced modern societies which have worked through materialistic values of life which are beyond their reach. Science and technology and modern inventories are spurned at because they distract their attention from other worldly pursuits that their respective religious imbibe.
Civilization connotes culture and refinement, the qualities of head and hears of man, which lift him above the state of primitive man. Love, charity spirit and sacrifice regard for truth and honesty as well as sense of responsibility to the state and society is some of the essential characteristics of a civilized person in modern society. It is worth while to compare these characteristics of the modern age with those of earlier ages. There are evident points of contrast we find. The modern comforts of life which were similarly absent in the other civilizations. The term material comforts of life implies hood food sound heath good clothing nice shelter nice company a high standard of living as well as peace and security are considered more important then the aspects related to spiritual pursuits which are intended to lead to the peace and happiness of the soul thus elevating it to Godhood.

The role of public opinion in democracy

November 1st 2007 12:45
In a democracy, opinion is an active, propelling factor. The people regard the government as an agency to which they have delegated power without releasing it from the obligation to respect the general will of the people. The opinion of a people is made up to different views or currents of sentiments in a society. Some currents says Bryce, “develop more strength then others, because they have behind them large number or more intensity of conviction and when one is evidently the strangest, it begins to be called public opinion par excellence being taken to embody the views supposed to be held by the bulk of the people.” Public opinion is thus on opinion which a people in general hold on questions of common interests at a certain time.
Who constitutes a people? According to sait, not every one within a community can be regarded as contributing to the formation of the public opinion. But yet the whole adult population, irrespective to voting rights and irrespective of citizenship, generally share in the formation of the public opinion.
The opinion of a community is seldom. On major issues of common interests there is often a variety of views, some of which may be confused. Discussions and clarifications can diminish such confusion and diversity so that interconnected views gradually lake definite shape of there, the view which is held by an apparent majority pf citizen is called the public opinion, the people must be considered first. Among the human beings, some play more prominent part then others. They may be referred

Punishment

October 27th 2007 20:12
“I really want this please help me”. She was begging me and I felt like she deserved it more then I do. So I gave her the envelope. I started walking. I was coming back from work and today was pay day. All of the employees were given salaries today and like every one else in used to wait for this day every month. But I could not realize what was in that woman’s voice that I could not keep my self from handing over my salary envelope to her.
When I reached home my wife asked about the salary, then I realized what I had done. It was useless to go behind that woman now and it was also against my ego to go and look for that woman and ask her back my money. So I lied to my wife that I had not received my salary today.
As she heard that she started shouting. I pretended as I did not hear any thing and go to my bed. I was tired so I slept. My wife woke me up saying that a friend of mine was waiting for me

Democracy Or Selfishness

October 2nd 2007 14:42
Pakistani president Pervaiz Musharraf has started dialogues with the Pakistan Peoples Party Chairperson Benazeer Bhutto when eighty three of the parliament members resigned today. According to the members of parliament Pervaiz Musharraf is not eligible to contest in the up coming elections of the president of Pakistan. Musharraf is the person who has said so many times in his tenure that Benazeer will not be allowed to step into Pakistan as she is the past of Pakistani politics. And now few weeks back he personally went to ABU DHABI to meet her and discuss the present political situation urging in Pakistan. What I really think these days is that is this Ebenezer’s victory or Musharraf’s defeat. Today Musharraf government spokes person said that they have decided to with draw all the cases of corruption against Benazeer. Now as the resignations have come from the members of the parliament Musharraf is so desperate to be reelected as the president and in the desperateness he is even willing to shake hands with the black sheep’s. When Musharraf said there will be no Nawaz Sharif and Benazeer on horizons of Pakistani politics there was a hope of new comers who would bring some change to Pakistan but now He is bringing back the old black sheep back who has already eaten Pakistan and will eat again. Benazeer’s Husband was used to be called “MR 10 PERCENT” in Pakistan because of the corruption that took place in their era. What I am afraid of is that Musharraf has been destroyed by his advisers and now he is again going to make same mistake.
