How

Your text goes here Hello all readers and bloggers, my topic today is about technology. Your mobiles, computers, internet and how they affect our world today. When I was younger, I was not a sporty or outdoors person. Give me a book or several, and I was happy for days on end. Sometimes reading a paragraph in one book, then changing to another just so I wouldn't get bored. When I discovered the library, (after seven years of living in this town) you could not get me there quick enough, and you could not get me out, shelf upon shelf of knowledge waiting to be absorbed. Then there was television. What was background noise, and the news watched by my father, was soon overturned to soapies and dramas and sitcoms. Later still and to this day, I am the remote queen. In between my books and tv shows, I got hooked into writing and what better past time than to sit at a desk for hours typing away? I do it for a living and for enjoyment and when I got my first computer, I asked for an internet connection. It combined my love of books and television and music. I could read book reviews online, read about upcoming storylines(I love most American tv shows, including reality ones) and listening to Yahoo radio station whilst surfing the web, which meant I could also listen to music not yet released in Australia. When my computer died slowly after five years-first the sound cards(no music) then the tower(which cost heaps to repair) and the dvd burner and cd burner had to be replaced, I thought "upgrade, upgrade, upgrade!" So not only did I get new speakers, soundcards, and a new cd and dvd burner, I got a media center system, so now I can investigate my newest computer related hobby - making movies. When I put it together, with the assistance of my boyfriend Shawn,(thanks babe!) I found even more new stuff that I didn't have on my first computer. I now want to download more dancers(a computer generated female called Amanda that dances to the music on my Windows Media Player) and more new features on my Windows Media Player. So how does "that song" relate to this post? Sandi Thom used today's technology to get her single out on the market, "I wish I was a punk rocker(with flowers in my hair.)"
Thinking back to a simpler time, her song says to me that it would be great to get back to simpler times, enjoying one's own company and the company of others without relying on technology, that's your mobiles, your televisions, and the internet. I must say, today that I had a lot of trouble connecting, but when I did, you must have heard the big sigh of relief on my end. Prior to that, I did enjoy going back to a simpler time, I did not give up my tv shows, but I did read more. So readers, I ask this, whatever your age, do you think that it would have been better to live in simpler times, without mobiles, internet and television? Yes, no or a bit of both, I would love to hear your opinion! Bye for now, Stacey.

I'm just like you... I love all of the above. At the moment my big dilemma is an unhealthy obsession with the OC. I missed season 3 when everyone else was watching so I caught up all at once and rekindled the love, so of course I had to buy season 1 and 2 and now I'm back on to 3 again. My big prob is we have Foxtel and movies we havent seen and other box sets PLUS some really good books but sadly I also have a day job and I just dont know how to fit it all in!
I think if we went back to simpler times I wouldnt be so confused with all these choices frying my poor little brain
